Why have a home inspection?
Do you know?:
•• A homeowner is not required to bring an existing dwelling up to current codes, and a Seller is not required to disclose all conditions however if a Seller has upgraded, for example the electric system that upgrade is supposed to comply with current electrical standards. This is just one many items that we inspect.
This process is called an inspection but really this is a process of discovery based on certain criteria and restrictions. To inspect is to perform a visual inspection of the readily accessible areas, systems and components and provide information regarding the condition of observed systems and components as the condition or conditions existed at the time of the inspection. Home inspection is further defined as a process by which the inspector visually examines the readily accessible system and components of a home and describes those systems and components in accordance with the Standards of Practice published by the American Society of Home Inspectors and SECTION 1. Chapter 3 of Title 8 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated ARTICLE 6.
